Description
Pursuing a doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia requires extensive academic proficiency, clinical expertise, and significant personal commitment. The journey is both physically and emotionally demanding, often requiring students to make considerable sacrifices in their personal lives. As more women enter these advanced practice programs, many are learning to navigate not only the rigorous demands of their education but also important life milestones, such as pregnancy, while enrolled. Balancing both responsibilities can lead to distinct challenges that impact academic success, clinical engagement, and personal well-being. This literature review aims to address this gap in the literature by exploring how a social media-based support platform offering connection, guidance, and community may enhance the academic success and well-being of pregnant nurse anesthesia residents.
